Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to ask us (or the merchant you interacted with) to delete personal data held in V2 AI Customer Service.
1. Who controls your data
V2 AI Customer Service is operated by the service operator. When you send a WhatsApp message to a merchant that uses V2 AI Customer Service, the merchant is the controller of your personal data for that conversation; we are a processor on their behalf.
2. Two ways to ask for deletion
Through the merchant. The fastest path is to contact the merchant directly (the business you spoke with) and ask them to delete your information. They can delete your customer record and your conversation history from their side.
Through the operator. If you cannot reach the merchant, or if you want the operator (us) to act, you can contact us using the address below. We will forward or escalate the request to the merchant, and we will act on it directly where we can.
3. The deletion request process
To submit a deletion request, please provide:
- The WhatsApp phone number or WhatsApp account identifier involved.
- The business (merchant) you interacted with — the name of the business, or the WhatsApp Business number you wrote to.
- The request: delete, correct, or export.
- Optional supporting information: approximate date(s) of the conversation(s).
Send the request to: mmamj22@gmail.com.
4. Identity verification
To protect you from someone else deleting your data by mistake, we may need to verify that the request really comes from you. We may ask you to confirm control of the WhatsApp number (e.g., by sending a one-time code from the same number) or to provide a piece of identifying information that only you and the merchant would know.
5. What we will delete
Once the request is verified, we will:
- Delete the customer record associated with the WhatsApp identifier (and any aliases the merchant recorded).
- Delete the conversation history and message records for the merchant you interacted with.
- Delete any booking records tied to that customer for the merchant, unless the merchant has a documented legal basis to retain them.
- Delete any technical and security audit records that are tied to your identifier, except where retention is required for security or legal reasons (see below).
6. What we may retain
We may retain data where retention is required by law or operationally necessary. Typical examples:
- Financial records the merchant is required to keep for tax or accounting purposes.
- Security and abuse-prevention logs that are kept for a fixed rolling window to protect the platform.
- Records needed to defend an actual or anticipated legal claim.
We will tell you in our reply if any specific data is being retained under one of these exceptions.
7. Timing
We act on verified deletion requests within 30 days. Backup-rotation deletion may take longer (typically up to 90 days). We will send you a confirmation when the active-system deletion is complete.
8. Operator and contact
The operator is the service operator.
